Description
“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.” Named after its founder, the Moshé Feldenkrais Method is a body-oriented learning practice that uses attentive self-awareness to change unconscious patterns of movement. Its focus is not on achievement or perfection, but on the quality of sensation during movement. The workshop begins by introducing the life of the Jewish scientist Moshé Feldenkrais, which began in the Hasidic milieu of Eastern Europe and took him to Israel, France, England and the United States. His most famous student was probably David Ben-Gurion. In the second part of the event, participants can experience the method in practice while seated, following the principle “Na’aseh v’nishma”: You will do and then understand.
