“Critical Gojness”

There is much talk about Jewish people without a single Jewish person sitting at the table, on the podium, or in the group – especially when it comes to antisemitism. For this reason, Riv and Nui, from the educational collective radikal_jüdisch, have designed workshops on the topic of “Including Jewish People!” They aim to counteract the invisibility and lack of consideration of Jewish people and perspectives. The concept of Gojnormativity is central to this, enabling a shift in perspective to approach the topic in solidarity from a non-Jewish standpoint.

In this workshop, you, along with the speaker Riv, will discuss the following question: How can we make Jewish people feel heard? What are key terms and concepts regarding antisemitism and racism that you should be aware of? What does solidarity with Jewish people look like in practice? What exclusions and structural violence do Jewish people experience in Germany? What are my own antisemitic patterns and ideas?

This workshop involves inputs, exercises, and self-reflection.
