Talk, music and culinary delights with Thabet Azzawi (Oud, Syria)
Thabet Azzawi from Dresden brings together the topic of flight and safe havens with his own life story. First, he left syria for Yemen, where he experienced the beginning of another civil war and then fled to Germany in 2015.
Here he finished his medical studies and from the beginning was musically involved with the Dresden political activists of the Banda Comunale.
With his instrument, the oud, he walks a path between hope and cheerfulness, search for meaning and home.
